Want to enhance your LinkedIn experience on your blog or website?  Now you can.  Scroll down to the bottom any LinkedIn page and click on the Widgets link where you’ll find the “Share on LinkedIn Widget.”

This widget tool allows visitors to share your content with their LinkedIn connections or network.  If someone visits your website or blog where this is installed, then they can literally share your content with hundreds or thousands of people they have within their own network.  The benefits from others using this easy-to-install widget could be significant.

Share on LinkedIn is one of two free widgets offered by LinkedIn.  This widget allows users to share content from your website or blog with their LinkedIn network.  This can be a wonderful way to have your valuable information easily and quickly transmitted to hundreds and even thousands of people within someone’s professional network.

This widget requires a little more coding expertise to install it, but if you follow the instructions, it should be rather straightforward.

Like the Company Insider Widget, this is a wonderful tool to combine professional networking with information sharing — a true Web 2.0 application. To find this widget, scroll to the bottom of any LinkedIn page and click on Widgets, then click on Share on LinkedIn.

LinkedIn currently offers two different widgets, Company Insider and Share on LinkedIn.  The Company Insider widget will allow users to see how they are connected to the companies that you list on your blog or website.  It will show them how many people they know in total and will also supply them with a few of the names with the option of clicking on a link to see the complete list.  This widget offers the best of professional networking and you can easily install it in just a few seconds.

The Company Insider Widget is offered in three different presentation formats, including as a popup, inline with a border, or inline without a border.  You can even place the widget as many times as you want on a page.

To find this widget, scroll to the bottom of any LinkedIn page and click on Widgets, then Company Insider.

If you try to join a group using an email address that is different from the one to which the invitation was sent, your group membership request will show as “pending.”  You can remedy this in one of two ways:

Option 1:  Register the email where the invitation was sent with your LinkedIn account. Go to the top of the LinkedIn page and select Account & Settings.  Next, go to the Personal Information section and then select Email Addresses.  Follow the instructions to add another email address.

Option 2:  Contact the group manager or administrator to let him or her know that you would like to join under a different address.  Make sure that address is registered with LinkedIn.
